About the Club

Brechin Community Club was formed in 1972 with the aim of encouraging local kids to play football within an organised and safe environment.  Integrated with in a charitable organisation of Brechin Community Football Trust in 2019.

Within Brechin CFT, we have a vast male and female player offering; from mini-kickers sessions and participation programmes to an extensive male and female teams pathway in the youth section, Saturday and Sunday amatuer teams, Over 35's and Walking Football as well as adult recreational sessions.

In our male pathway, we have teams from 2018 through to 2008 teams in the youth section, as well as a working Performance Pyramid Agreement with Brechin Victoria JFC & Brechin City FC in the adult section. Not only do we have a number of examples of local members who have went onto play senior football in Brechin, but notable players like John Souttar playing for Scotland & Harry Souttar representing Australia at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2023, as well as MLS superstar Ryan Gauld all coming through Brechin Community Club.

In our female pathway, we have teams ranging from Under 8's to Under 14's currently, with a view to increase participation to have a full youth section as well as an adult provision in the near future.

Brechin Community Club is run by volunteers who give up their time and without these volunteers the club would be unable to function. If you are interested in helping the club in any way, please contact a member of the committee.
