Code of conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT                                                                                                                  

 

As a player/member or parent/guardian/carers of a member of a team of Brechin Community Club you will be expected to abide by the following club rules:

 

1. Members should play because they enjoy football and not just to please anyone else and as a parent/ guardian/carer encourage the member to enjoy playing football and not to force or excerpt any unnecessary or undue pressure to play.

 

2. As a player or parent/ guardian /carers of a player treat all players and spectators, including the opposition and their supporters, officials, with respect, regardless of their gender, creed, colour, race, religion, disability or behaviour, praise positive aspects of play and avoid becoming frustrated or ridiculing players during a match.

 

3. As a player or parent/ guardian /carers of a player play or encourage playing within the rules or laws of the sport and respect officials and their decisions, help promote the positive aspects of the game and never condone violations of the laws or behaviour contrary to the spirit of those laws.

 

4. Ensure that any fees for matches, training or events are paid for promptly. Sign up to utilise our digitally automated compulsory subscriptions collections and optional gift aid processing tools to support charity donations.  

 

5. Look after all BCC property and equipment at all times including strips, tracksuits and other related clothing.

 

6. Set a good example at all times in aspects of your actions including behaviour language and in respect of equipment and facilities. Parents/ guardians/ carers should encourage and guide your son/ daughter to accept responsibility for their behaviour and performance.

 

7. Keep to agreed timings for matches and training or inform the coach or team manager via team agreed communication method if your son/daughter is going to be late or absent.

 

8. Appreciate the efforts being put in by others on player’s behalf and show them due consideration and respect. Develop an appropriate supportive relationship with both coaches and players based on mutual trust and respect.  Understand respective team size policy with club pathway and support player communication feedback.

 

9. Inform member of the committee if there are any problems {medical or personal} that they should be aware of.

 

10. Return all BCC strips, tracksuits and other related clothing or equipment at the conclusion of the season or when leaving the club [if you do not return property owned by BCC - THE CLUB WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO RECOVER IT BY LAW INCLUDING INVOICING YOU FOR ANY PROPERTY NOT RETURNED]

 

11. Parents/ guardians /carers must be aware of the Club Child Protection Policy and procedures and adhere to their relevant responsibilities. All Club Policies are available to view on request.

 

12. Parents/ guardians/carers must ensure that if any relatives/friends in their company who are not members/officials of Brechin Community Club and/or attend any training session/match that any breach of this code of conduct may lead to the club being brought into disrepute and a fine or suspension.
